I haven't read the last 4 pages but this is my take on it. I graduated from AU and have a second degree from UAB due to living In bham and it being the easiest option. I think academically it blows UA away. With that being said I've seen people mention how this hurts the city which it absolutely does.
I never went to a game as legion is In a terrible area and I'm frankly not comfortable going to that area.
Bham is trying to build all these new restaurants/bars and social areas. Well a stadium for uab could have been the hub for such an area and really brought a ton of economic growth to the area.
I live In TX now but feel bad for Birmingham as many would like to see a quality football game when they can't make that trek to AU or UA. I know I would have.
