I get what you are saying and find myself often conflicted on the subject. Would we want the stink and reputation? Obvious answer is of course not. Then I look around this modern society based on narcissism with an overwhelming demand of instant gratification and realize that few people even care about morality anymore. Aside from a small minority of people, society has a short memory about how "success" was attained. The only folks who care about how FSU, Auburn or even UF under Meyer won titles are those who are disgusted by morality issues in all walks of life whether it be politics, business.....or sports. Or those directly impacted and frustrated by the immorality of the "bad" guys. People are to busy posting selfies, chronicling every detail of their lives on social media or searching for instant gratification to pay much attention to the immoral acts of others. Reputations for being shady are short lived in this day and age and the majority of people only recall the championships 3-5 years later.

I see where you're coming from. But I (and the friends I attend games with - all Georgia grads from late 60s) have a sense of morality that transcends the self-gratifying "morality" of the youth of today. And the great majority of the contributing boosters feel the same way. In another 10-15 years that ethic may change, but I hope not to see that change.
