I'm downplaying to rein yall in. The truth is their performance lies in the middle.

Fwiw I never disputed in this thread they're having good seasons. I disputed that Mathieu and Beckham are considered some of the top players at their position. They are not, not even close.

What's sad is that there are multiple guys from other SEC school performing even better than those mentioned here, I missed the threads on that though.

They are solid players, but some of our fans need to simmer down with the "best" at the position talk.

That wasn't what the OP was saying and you went straight negative right away. Where did he mention that Mathieu and Beckham were top players? Where was that said before you went negative? He said that LSU players were dominating. They are. Beckham was dominant last night. Hill has been dominating. Alfred Blue has been dominating. When you run or catch for 150 yards and 2 TDs, that is a dominant performance in the NFL. It is near perfect. It doesn't mean that you are considered one of the best players at the position.

Your hate for all things LSU is so strong that you see everything through that lens.

Plus, who appointed you to "rein" us in? LSU is having a crappy football season. If an LSU fan wants to get excited about SOMETHING and doesn't flame anyone else, why do you feel the need to "rein yall in"?

Well Beckham is a rookie, so the jury is still out.

I think we both know that Beckham's catch is what spawned this thread. No need to be obtuse.
