They run the read option. I went and watched some highlights of their QB. Saban said he could play so I wanted to see. He's not bad. Shouldn't be too hard to handle, but the interesting thing I thought about was we will be able to practice for 2 weeks for the read option. Get to go into the Auburn game with 2 home games against 2 read option teams while getting our guys some rest. Feel like we will be ready.

I think that has a lot to do with why they were scheduled and where they were scheduled. I remember when we played GA Southern (or State, can't remember) and they ran the triple option. Saban didn't like that because it was the only time we would see it. They ran for over 300 yards on the 2011 defense. Probably won't see anymore triple option teams unless we play one in a bowl game.

They weren't a triple option team when they were scheduled.

This.

They hired Jeff Monkin (sp?) from Paul Johnson's triple option system and he changed up GA Southern's offense going into the season
