Roger, if you're not trolling, then this thread by you is stupid.
Saban's 2014 Tide are the second worst Tide team he's ever had at Bama, they are a solid team. But, in contrast to his others, they only rank ahead of his inherited 2007 squad(7-6), which won their bowl gm to get over .500, yet lost to ULM at home.
Sure, the 2010 team lost 3 games, but in level of play and vet savvy, QB play, dominance, etc..this 2014 team rates below his others. They lost at Ole Miss, needed a greenhorn LSU team with poor QB play to fold, and escaped at Ark vs a 17 gm losing streak Hogs. This a down year filled with parity nationally, thus Tide only need beat teams in front of them, not beat former Tide title teams, and/or even some of the very stout losing BCSCG teams over the last 10 to 15 years that are better.
Saban winning yet a 4th Natty in 8 seasons as HC in TTown, is not good for the SEC, and if so with his 2nd worst Tide team, should be demoralizing to the rest of the teams in the conference.
MSU has never won a Natty in any school sport, and are in a very rural locale. If they pulled off the miracle season, it would be great for them, and for the SEC, even as much as possibly serving as a template for ATM(similar cow town Ag college wearing maroon and history of bridesmaid status by-and-large).
Bama, LSU, Fla, Aub, UGa, Tenn monopolizing the hardware isn't the most ideal thing for any conference, even if the SEC goes much deeper in such matter than say Big-10, Big-12, Pac, ACC,etc..in spreading the title wealth.
The closest thing to SEC Foots in having more than one or two Kings, is say ACC Hoops, Big-10 Hoops, Big East Hoops(formerly), PAC Bases..
Unless, you are trolling, congrats on your Aggie fanship of Bama's latest Crystal trophy and latest 6-peat as Recruiting champs! Hail Bear Hail Gene..Junction Boys..I love Big Brother..We all love Big Brother..Big Brother is watching you!

They're inexperienced at key positions. Hardly a lack of talent.
