I don't see the point in calling those. Yeah, I do like the rules being enforced, so technically he should have been...geez, what would be the result of the official catching the ball, anyway?...but there was nobody nearby and he clearly had the TD in hand. It's sort of like the mercy rule of crossing the line there.
