Such a move could hurt psychologically. Sometimes all time outs do is increase the opposing team's momentum rather than sap it.

If the HUNH is only effective because it forces mismatched defenses to stay on the field.. stop the clock. Or have your linemen commit a penalty on say.. 2nd and 1 then use that time to substitute.
