re: 2011 Alabama and LSU Appreciation Thread

I just think those wins over Florida and Texas hold a lot of weight because BOTH those teams were legit offensively and defensively, with two seniors being all time leaders in many categories at their school. Some wins were close, but the schedule of 2011 and 2009 is a huge difference as far as SOS and overall play against tough opponents. Both rivalry games were amazing that year as well.


This is an LSU Alabama appreciation thread, but I will take the fact that the 2009 team will forever be the greatest Bama team in history. Even over '61 and '66. Because now, football is way more refined and much harder to win now that programs around the country are fully developed ala the Florida schools, west coast teams outside of USC, etc.
