Maybe if the season had resulted in a championship but since the barn choked agaisnt FSU and blew a retarded lead in the second half, I'd say probably not.

Had Auburn won the national championship then it would be practically invaluable considering the significance of the play. However AU didn't win the natty, therefore the piece of memorabilia's value is drastically decreased. It will be worth some money, but 47K isn't a good investment.
I'm sure whoever bought it didn't do so as an investment however, so this argument is moot.
