It takes into account margin of victory, "offensive power," and "defensive power."
Basically, it's taking objective data and doing everything it can to make it subjective. This is probably designed to be a "predictor" system for prop bets and things like that. I mean, when you have a team who runs the ball, doesn't turn it over, and is playing Purdue this week, maybe they're one of the top ten teams on whom you should bet this Saturday.
