Here's the thing, and this is really indisputable: The top 6 teams all control their own destiny. FSU at 2 is in if they win out. Between AL, AU, MS, and OM, two of those have to lose a game, so Oregon at #5 is guaranteed to move up a spot if they win out. Alabama plays two teams above them; if they win out, they will pass both of those teams.

TCU and Sparty need help, because it is possible for two different combinations of four teams above them to win out, leaving them no opportunity to pass them. Also, Sparty's only decent opponents left are #16 OSU and possibly #15 Nebraska in the B1GCG. Sparty really has no way to significantly improve their resume.

Not really. The committee hasn't ranked these teams where they stay put if they win and only drop when they lose. I expect to see teams make big jumps and falls week to regardless even if they win. That's why I could see TCU jumping up to #4 if they were to win at West Virginia this weekend.
