That would be my top argument and facts for your question.

How many of those OOC teams are currently leading their conferences?

I'm not saying the SECW isn't the strongest division, but what I am saying is that if you can determine which teams are the best via the 'eye test', why not just use that to determine the champion - a la the polls, as it was done for 70 years?

It seems to me that the whole entire idea behind a playoff is to remove subjective criteria from the crowning of a champion. The best way to do that is to invite only conference champs to the playoff.

Either use polls, OR use a playoff. Don't use both.

The playoff is because fans and schools fussed two teams was not enough. Especially with the SEC taking 7 of last 8. So how do more teams get in? Playoff!! Why not keep the BCS rankings? Because a group of 12 could have more control than some computers and a few hundred coaches/ media voting.

The problem is that 4 teams now means more SEC teams can get in. So what do the fans scream for then? Conference Champs only of course. Anything to limit the SEC and keep out some of the best teams in football. Because after all we want to be fair and liberal. How dare a Dr make more than a fry cook. We have to even things out for everyone. Makes sense! ??
