How much training is really involved in learning to work at McDonalds?
I do agree with your point in theory though. Pay the employees you want to keep better, don't force a higher wage for all.

Well, if it is known that pay is decent, you actually will attract a better pool of applicants to choose from.
There's not a lot of training involved, but I think it takes a little while for an employee in that environment, to get where they are running in a kind of automatic mode, instead of needing to think about everything.
