I wasn't talking about who plays Dixie now, I was wondering who played it in the past. My guess is every school in the SEC (and the south) played it back in the 50's and 60's. In addition to Georgia and Florida, I am pretty sure Arkansas played it. I know Arkansas State played it. My high school band played it and we played "the U of F Version. I also played in Ole Miss band and we played
U of F version which is what they still play.

Scroll to the bottom of this link and you will see where Iowa Hawkeye Band plays FDWL. They wrote the original that Ole Miss playes. LINK

my HS in East TX played it till the late 90's. Midland HS out west even had the battle flag as their school flag until early 90's. The aggie band used to play it, but not sure when they stopped

Arkansas band stopped playing Dixie in 1969. It's well covered in the book "Horns, Hogs, and Nixon's Coming" about the 1969 Arkansas vs Texas game.

Black Students Association threatened to stage a sit-down on the field if the band played Dixie during the game. To save embarrassment from this sort of demonstration during the nationally televised game the University Administration and Band Director acquiesced.
