I understand everyone thinks the West is so much better. But Why? There at no big wins. LSU took over the Wisky game once they lost their best 2 def lineman and Gordon. Bama reall struggled and are just not bama this year,( they just aren't) KSU made so many mistakes , auburn should have won by 3 TDs. That didn't happen. Arkansas is better , whith out a doubt , and where as OM and State are really good , they are no where close to what bama was in 2012. Bama and Am got the crap scared out of them by Arky, doesn't mean Arky is good. Bama played the worst game I've ever seen , mental mistakes everywhere and still won. If Arky was as great as you want tho think. They should have rolled. At this time the west has played UF twice, USC once, and Vany once. How do you determine dominance by those games. Am & USC was an enigma. UGA is improving on Def. The are clearly better today than last year. Ark is not showing up on Saturday with Peyton Manning, they will run it in to teeth of the best front 7 in the conference. And Vegas has UGA as a road favorite without Gurley, if he plays is there anyone who doesn't think that pissed of Man won't go for 300?

This is exactly right. This was all started because Texas A&M man handled South Carolina to open the season. This happened for two reasons, South Carolina was way over-rated, and anybody who knows anything about South Carolina football and recruiting already knew this. Texas A&M had a chip on their shoulder right along with South Carolina thinking about Georgia as usual with Spurrier leading the way. South Carolina still beat a East Carolina team that hung 70 on North Carolina. Secondly, the Alabama win over a bad Florida team could have been a lot closer. Alabama scored 3 touchdowns off of blown coverage, they also put the ball on the ground numerous times. Had Florida had any kind of qb play, that game would have come down to the final moments. Mississippi State and Ole Miss are great teams right now, but they look a lot better because of how down the rest of the West is. Last year means nothing at this point, however, Georgia played Auburn right down to the end with half their offense and the worst defense in Georgia history in Auburn. Auburn looks no better to me this year than last year. We really know nothing to this point.

Arkansas is very capable of beating Georgia this weekend, no doubt. Is the West better overall, yes, but it isn't staggering by any means. Alabama's performance against Arkansas Saturday was pathetic, and LSU is abysmal. The real reason the Mississippi schools look so dominant this year has a lot to do with them having the only experienced quarterbacks. That will start to level off torward the end of the year when some of these other guys get experience. Georgia has a legitimate shot to beat anybody from the west "if" they get there.
