I've been to a lot of football games both in college and in pro, and the fact that Ole Miss (and Alabama) don't tailgate in actual parking lots, drink higher-end booze instead of Bud Light, and have good Southern food makes them unique.

I also think that the whole "bowties and boatshoes" thing is overdone a bit, but again it's not something that's common outside of our neck of the woods.

Yea, my visits to Ole Miss always reminded me of a smaller (and in a good way) Alabama. Basically Alabama without the riff-raff for the most part. Students dress the same, alums dress the same, tailgaiting is similar, etc etc. The big difference is Oxford the town is cooler than Tuscaloosa.
