I think that what the youth pastor was trying to say is that while the Bible does make the claim that homosexuality is a sin, it doesn't mean that we (Christians or God) love them or think of them any differently than ourselves or our straight friends because we all sin and have fallen short of the glory of God. Period. I may be an adulterer, a liar, a murderer, a thief, etc. The fact of the matter is is that this is an imperfect world and we are all sinners one way or another. As a Christian, I have learned from many older wiser Christians to not judge or condemn someone just because they sin differently than I do. I struggle with my own imperfections just like everyone else. God still loves me and EVERYONE (homosexuals included) else. That is the message of the Bible. I understand that there are many hateful, despicable, Christians in this world (predominately in the South) that are hateful and do/say horrid things towards the homosexual community. Don't let those people taint the reality of what the Bible really says. Just trying to clear up what I think the other guy was trying to get at by sharing some of my personal beliefs as a Christian. For the record, I have a gay relative that serves in his church along with multiple gay friends that I talk to on a regular basis. Go dawgs.

I have to believe that they must be born that way. What in the hell could ever possibly happen to turn a straight person gay?

Ever heard of pedophiles who like little boys?
