It's common sense. I don't choose to be straight. I see a fine girl and I want to have sex with her. It's the same thing for gay guys, they see a man and are attracted sexually.

No one would choose to be gay, excluding a few attention seeking girls.

I've just breezed through this thread and have only read a little bit, but in my experience - basically gay men that my wife knows(including several of her close friends and a family member of hers), you can absolutely, unequivocally never ever convince me that being gay is a choice.

Her family member was married to a woman for a few years because he basically tried to force himself to believe he wasn't gay. They got divorced and he's been in a happy relationship with another man for the past about 14 years. He says he always knew he was gay, but he tried and tried to convince himself that he wasn't, but it

One of her friends in college that came out after college said he would get blind drunk every weekend because he didn't want to face the fact that he was a gay man at a small, southern college. He finally was able to come out and be comfortable with himself after that period of his life.

That's just two examples, but there are countless others out there. Are there some men that do it because they desire the attention or for some other reason other than actually being gay? Sure. But that is a very, very small minority, imo. All the ones I personally know would have never made a conscious decision to one day say....I'm going to be gay. The only decision they had to make was when to come out to their family and friends and absolutely dread what the consequences might have been.
