It's odd that a CBS announcer (with probably a producer in his ear), the referees and later ESPN all agreed last link is first down. They didn't even get a chance to talk it over.

Yes it is, and was. But there's not a damn thing we can do about it now. South Carolina won and we have to win out and hope they lose again.

Still looking for this mythical last link theory. Not what the rule book states. Like I said earlier, just curious for my own personal knowledge, not for the game. Gamecocks beat us. It's over. And Gary Danielson can't get half the player's names correct (with a producer in his ear). And if ESPN said it, it must be true.
