Here's another good one:
LINK
When A&M added a list of national championships and conference championships to their wall at Kyle Field, they awarded themselves championships they didn't actually win.
Go ahead, turn around and bash Tech if that's what you need to feel better about yourselves. Have a good weekend.

A&M did this? How embarrassing.

While I don't like that we just all of a sudden included these to the OLD stadium...
So some group voted us as one of the national champions that year? So we didn't just claim this out of thin air ourselves? Cool, if I'm not mistaken, that 1917 team was not scored on.
So of the two titles you are bitching about (wouldn't you love to even have just one, even as old, lmao tards don't win championships) A&M was voted as a champion for one and retroactively awarded the championship for the other?
Do I have this right?

In 1919, Harvard and Illinois were regarded as the national champions among the various rankings. However, the Aggies, who finished 10-0 that season, are making their claim based on the National Championship Foundation, which was formed in 1980 and voted on past champions. The group awarded A&M a share of the title in a three-way tie with Notre Dame and Harvard.

In 1927, the Aggies went 8-0-1, and Notre Dame and Pittsburgh were regarded as splitting the national championship. However, the Aggies were retroactively crowned No. 1 by a mathematical ranking system developed in 1935 that ran the results from the 1929 season.

that is actually fairly common. Bama has claimed multi national titles where they weren't the best team in the country (not a 2011 reference gumps). So does ole piss and arky. I wish LSU would claim our other 5 but the admins don't
