And Sims played against WVU for his first game this year with their starting cornerback out, yet we are supposed to act as if he could tear apart SEC defenses

No, we are not. I do realize that he has shown that he can run the offense to produce a lot of yards and put points on the board.

Meanwhile Coker has a similar game against FAU, but it was FAU.

Sims was damn near perfect against FAU, and threw for 214 yards on 13 passes.

Coker was just above 500 completion percentage wise, and got 200 yards on 24 passes.

There lies the difference.

Sims threw a lot more higher percentage throws. Also, this was Sims second start that he improved upon from a week ago. This was Coker's first start. If Sims improved so much over one week, why can't Coker?

My question is this: Kiffin wasn't afraid to call long bombs for Coker, why did he hesitate to do the same for Sims? Could it be that Kiffin doesn't think those long throws are comfortably within Sims range?
