Grammar boom. I bet you feel all superior now.

quote:

the statement 'go make a better life for yourself' is unfair when we consider that many people who are highly educated are working in the service industry.

Define highly educated.

quote:

'Average' was a key word in the sentence you quoted. The average meal eaten by an American travels a frightening distance before it's consumed -- thanks to a centralized power structure in the food industry.

And, once again I ask what does this have to do with a 38 year old deserving $15 an hour to drop some fries into some grease?

quote:

But at what cost?

Your continuing question basically is stating.. rich is bad. If a Utopia could exist, that'd be wonderful. It doesn't though and until you can eliminate laziness, selfishness and narcissism, along with the greed you want to eliminate.. then capitalism is the way to go.

That's not at all what I've said, I'd appreciate it if you withheld your urge to take great leaps of assumption.

I don't propose a Utopia, and neither do the ideologies that I study.

Yes, if we can't eliminate all of these nasty elements of human nature we might as well have a system that exacerbates them to the fullest, brilliant. And anyway.. radical ideologies don't propose eliminating these elements of human nature, and in fact spend a great deal of time explaining that fixing human nature is not the aim or even necessary.

*Part of your problem is you can only see two colors on the spectrum, red and blue, or black and white, depending on how you want to look at it. I'll add that you have a rudimentary understanding of political theory, as evident by your assumption that socialism is always a pro state minded philosophy.
