I think that is changing. With as fickle as the polls are going to be on this new playoff, and with pressure to have all the major conferences represented, it behooves teams to score at will.

I personally think that is going to lead people to do like Spurrier used to do at Florida. Score until the clock ticks 60 minutes. This business of taking a knee at the end is sportsmanlike, but may not get you into the play offs.

heres an example. Georgia and Auburn both won their games 45-21. Both were tied at the half. 21-21. AU was in an SEC game against a weaker opponent. Georgia was playing a ranked team from a weaker conference.

A case could be made that if Auburn had scored another 2 touchdowns, that Auburn would be ranked ahead of Bama in this weeks poll. Its that fickle at the moment. AU had 4th team QB and back ups in at the end. It could have scored easily on the last drive, which ended with a 1st down at the 11 yard line. Had there not been a rain delay, the score could have been higher.
