I'd eliminate Nebraska because of the nature and time of their loss. 62-36 in their last game against one of the other participants. And it wasn't that close. CU could have scored 80. Seriously.

Tenn would be the only other I'd consider and I'd unenthusiastically give Illinois the nod based on good top-25 wins, a one-loss season and their only loss being in September.

LSU and UF have no real case imho. LSU sure as heck would have after the bowls.
