GMAC said Sims did ok (which isn't a knock at all) and some guy on Twitter got pissy.
Some of y'all are too sensitive with Sims. It's a little disturbing with some people just defending him from even a little criticism. I think GMAC knows more about football and the QB position than any of us.

I'm rewatching the game on DVR right now and can't for the life of me understand how he's gotten as much criticism as he has. People have the right to criticize, but I have the right to say it's unwarranted.
On the first 2 drives, he's thrown 6 perfect passes, 1 intentional throw away (the right decision), 1 below average pass (12 yard completion to Coop on 3rd down from the end zone that he had to stop to catch) and 1 inexcusably bad pass (low throw to Coop on 3rd down)
Yes, most of the perfect passes were within 5 yards of the LOS but one was a 15 yard pass perfectly thrown to Jones after recognizing that the wheel route was covered. The next play was a TD run by TJ to cap off a 90 yard drive.
Another thing I didn't notice yesterday was how poor our protection was. Guys weren't getting beat one-on-one but there've been about 3 plays with blown assignments leaving a rusher unblocked.
It's hard for me to fathom how he's getting this much criticism. I read an analysis from a RBR editor this morning that argued that he's such a bad passer that the only chance we have of winning games is to switch to a zone read offense. He wasn't kidding and a lot of posters in the comments agreed. I just don't get it.

Writing him off and saying the backup should be the starter is more than a "little criticism." Obviously you aren't doing it, but plenty of people are.
