Of course you don't seem to remember that Auburn made it out of the SEC Championship game by the skin of their eeth against Mizzou, and Alabama made it out by the skin of their teeth against Georgia, so I think the East is doing ok. Not as well as the West, granted, but not that big of a difference as you seem to think, either. By the way....did you ever look up to see which division has more SEC titles? Dumb question...of course you did. But you didn't like what you saw, so you are ignoring it.

Those are actually valid points about Alabama and Auburn the last couple of years. Perhaps a better starting point than chest beating over historical banners which seems to keep being brought up.

I was well aware long before the creation of this thread what the overall record was since the first conference championship game in the early 90's. And well aware of the Spurrier@UF & Peyton@UT years. That does fall under my 'decade+ old' shtick I was putting out there though. I guess that connection wasn't made for some reason.

The gap between East & West isn't as big as I may have made it out to be in this thread. Mind you I'm only debating the current state of divisions based on momentum/recruiting. Anything that happened 5+ years ago (hell maybe 2-3 years ago) is outside the scope of where the balance of the two divisions are currently, in the now.

It was fun to go back and forth (albeit not productive at all to the main topic) about Georgia's history of banners and A&M's apparent lack there of (pretty sure we have banners after 1995 though brah.)
