Do you know how many lives have been saved by the use of 911? So much ignorance up in this joint. People always hate the cops until they need one. So do us all a favor and save any possible 911 calls for people who will appreciate it.

sure but how many more people would have been saved if they had a fire arm or some other type of weapon until the cops arrived? It isn't very fair to the cops to expect them to show up any faster than they do because most times it isn't possible for them to show up faster. Therefore it is much better for a citizen to both call 911 and actually have some sort of self defense. Do cops get there in time and stop some crimes? sure they do, but not all the time.
fwiw i've never called 911. I'm more likely to need to call 911 over a fire or medical emergency than over needing my life saved from a criminal.
