This is the problem with this case.
The facts are few and far between, and getting massaged daily to fit the narrative as the media sees fit.
This thing isn't going to be sorted out for a while, and unfortunately we live in a jump to conclusions society. Each side seems to be jumping to their own conclusions without all of the evidence at hand, in some cases they are jumping to extreme conclusions,(looters).
I tend to think the kid was up to something, that sure looks like him stealing cigars. The rest is hazy at best.
I still don't think, based on what evidence I've seen, that he deserved to be shot and left for dead on the street. TPOS or not, he wasn't road kill. He was a human being.

Was with you up until the end. Stupid people wind up dead all the time due to their own stupid actions.
NOT saying anyone "deserved" to die, but my sympathy is mitigated when they put themselves in compromising situations (same opinion I have of the young man who was struck and killed by Tony Stewart's Sprint car, btw).
Like i said, I agree with the rest of what you said, though. Which is why I choose to remain emotionally detached.
