Similarly, I think the random Y is akin to the random "Da" in front of otherwise regular names to make them sound non-whitish.

I'm just saying that white people come up with some silly arse names trying to be trendy. That being said, I'd rather name my kid "Teagan" or "Paisley" than "Sharkeisha." Sorry, Tbird!!!
