In 2009 we beat Texas, Florida, and Virginia Tech which all finished in the top 10. Defeating 3 top 10 teams in the final poll is rare but may have been done a few times before.

The 1st may be that we beat all 3 top 10's on a nuetral field.

That was impressive but I think there may have been several teams that have beaten 3 top 10 teams in the final poll before...I thought Bama might've been the first to beat both the #2 (Texas) and #3 (Florida) ranked teams in the final after season poll (we beat #10 Va Tech as well) but the '71 Nebraska team beat us to that as well; they beat the #2 (Oklahoma), #3 (Colorado), and #4 (Alabama) ranked teams in the final AP poll that year. The '71 Huskers were impressive...I remember watching the "Game of the Century" against Oklahoma on TV and that was an awesome game...and I remember watching Johnny Rodgers and Nebraska crushing us (and my spirit) in the Orange Bowl when I was 9...
