I don't think this statute would hold up in court.

According to this law, if we had a big ole statue of Hitler in the middle of campus, we couldn't take it down. If we had an Andrew Jackson avenue (which we probably do) then we wouldn't be able to change the name. The supreme court is conservative leaning, but also federalist. If this went that far (which would be stupid) It would probably go 6-3 with Kennedy and Roberts joining the dems.
