Reducing Penalties, especially on offense, as important as any other change

For Roper to succeed, I think it's just as important for UF to greatly reduce the number of penalties on offense.
We've always been at the bottom of penalty stats but we have to change that. Too many drives stalled over the years by stupid penalties.
If we can get some momentum on O and reduce penalties I think it will go a long way toward righting the offensive ship and build much needed confidence of the guys on that side of the ball.

UF is always near the top of the SEC in penalties. I'm convinced it doesn't matter who the coach is.

Agreed.
Clean up the red zone, and improve turnover margin. If they do that they win a bunch of games.

Thats very true, I always thought that Florida HS players are some of the more aggressive football players in the nation. So when they get to the collegiate level, that unharnessed aggression turns into penalties. Just a little theory of mine.
Road, maybe we should make it a contract incentive. Have the fewest penalties in the conference and you get a 100,000 bonus, have fewest in the nation 250,000.

All the better UF, univ of NJ @ Coral Gables and girls school teams were in the upper tier of flgs thrown....why? Aggressive teams do that and I hope we have 12 flags a game.

As long as them penalties aint for delay of snap I'm down for the yellow flag as long as we are putting a hurtin on someone.

I upvoted it now.
I'm not surprised you have no capacity to understand caricature, though.
