Florida seems to strike a chord with some Tiger fans, but I like it and a victory against Florida is a boost in BCS or otherwise and a loss not necessarily a death knell to the season. If anything strength of schedule should rate more than it seems to. If a number one Florida comes into LSU and wins over a number two LSU or vice versa that should be factored heavily in post season match ups.

The Florida game is always one of my favorite games. Florida has had the most SEC Championship Game appearances with 10 (going 7-3). Bama has the 2nd most appearances with 8 (going 4-4). So going by the numbers, it's much harder having Florida on LSU's schedule every year because they're facing the teams with the top 2 most SEC Championship Game appearances and wins (though LSU is tied with Bama with 4 SEC Championship Game wins). You get beat up playing the big boys every year.
Tennessee had a great program for a long time, so if they would start winning again, the scheduling thing wouldn't seem like that big of a deal. It's just taken them longer than most people thought it would. Even in UF's worst year in 25+ years, they still beat Tennessee by 14. Plus, The Swamp is seen as one of the toughest places to play (minus last year). If Tennessee re-establishes itself, things won't seem that lopsided.
With good non-conference games disappearing, it is fun to play other East teams more. So I think people would like seeing teams rotate more because it makes it more interesting.
