Key word "could". Yet it has only played a factor in LSU winning or losing the West once in 22 years. In every season LSU won the West, they beat Alabama. In every season Bama won the West, we beat LSU. That is what it comes down to.

Nt for me. You bring up non playoff years
There is now a new scenario where LSU only loses to Alabama and then a loss the UF takes them to a two loss team and out of contention for the 4th spot
And please, please tell me that if a team lost in the regular season there's no way they win the rematch.
