Education about using it appropriately would come with its legal sale. Much like the say "No" to drinking and driving campaigns that successfully lowered DUI issues.

I understand what you are saying....and education SHOULD be done. I DO believe it can help. I would have to look up the stats on DUI rates to see how effective the "Don't drink and drive." campaign has worked. It would not surprise me to find out rates have come down. It WOULD surprise me to find out it has made a significant dent. When something becomes acceptable in society, a campaign has relatively little positive effect, IMO. Drinking has become so acceptable in our society that people feel they can handle it, and it is acceptable, anyway...so they drink and drive.

This is ONLY my opinion as to why people continue to drink and drive, though. No hard stats or anything to back it up.

I respect your stance if your being honest, but just because you disagree with something does not necessarily mean it should be illegal. The government doesn't need more power in telling the population what it can and can't do. I'm all for penalizing those who make bad decisions (I don't think smoking AND driving should be legal even though I've done it a few times: you should be others at risk like that)

And I can't spell today at all. So I apologize about that lol

I will also admit to driving for the most part of this thread.

I actually see it as the opposite. I feel like campaigns have a significant impact, but I can also say that someone affected by such a tragedy will be more sensitive to information similar to the tragedy they endured. So while numbers may be reducing someone who has been affected by something like a DUI tragedy would be more acutely aware of those types of accidents and take note of them.

It isn't unusual. A simpler example is if you buy a Chevy Truck you'll start to see tons of Chevy Trucks in your area that you didn't previously notice.
