I get that Atlanta is larger than Birmingham. Tell me specifically how the SEC HQ being moved from Bham to ATL makes the SEC a more successful and more profitable entity. Take into consideration the cost of uprooting from a place you have been for decades. Will more people watch SEC football games because of where the HQ is located?

Probably not.
But I really do question some of the things handled at the offices. It just seems, there are a lot of questionable decisions that seem to favor the AL schools. And don't get hysterical about it, I'm not a conspiracy guy. But 99% of fans of the other 12 schools all question it too and the inside joke REC comments , lead others to wonder as well.
Look at some of the complaints without the Crimson glasses and see if they make sense, or at least aren't questionable.
I'm just saying , Birmingham is a small city and most of the community there has tied to either Auburn or Alabama, which understandable , but it's also easy to understand why the rest of us felt there is a degree of bias.
If the offices were in a larger city the employment pool and also the draw to hire the best in the business to your company , which is what the SEC is, would be greater and more diverse.
