Folks in MS do refer to OM as the "Harvard of the South" which cracks me up. Even their out of state students laugh at that. Plus, OM likes to give off a UVA type of attitude which can drive other SEC fans crazy.

Apparently the idea of "tongue in cheek" eludes a lot of you.

And I think the "Harvard" they're referring to is the identity of the blue-blood, Mitt Romney Harvard, and not so much the impossible-to-get-into Harvard.

It's called dillusion. And no, 'folks in MS' don't call them that, OM people who's internet doesn't cross state lines say that.
A guy that I graduated HS with, in rural MS, was a solid C student in a very small school. He partied his way through OM and came away with a law degree. ...tells me all I need to know.
