Are you fricking serious?

Yes. It was just a tree. I speak in facts, like Ghandi.

quote:

He destroyed a historical landmark and potentially contaminated the water.

Now he contaminated the water? Don't go overboard here. He killed a tree. Auburn fans rolling the tree was also killing it. Let's not split facts though.

quote:

Tons of tax dollars wasted on testing went to it.

Seriously? If that's factual, that's sad.

quote:

You justifying this?

Where'd ya get this? I stated exactly "the guy is a bit insane".

Did anyone cry and shite over this though? It was a tree. A tree is not a physical thing with a soul. Perspective. Some of you need to find it.

I'm sure if someone put some dynamite in Denny Chimes and blew it to hell, you would have not problem with that.

it was still a university landmark. whether you think it's a stupid landmark is irrelevant. updyke didn't kill a tree because it was "just a tree." he killed a tree because it was a landmark important to auburn. kid got in trouble for chipping off part of Howard's Rock at Clemson. I mean it's just a rock right?

This is recent. But yes, they spent a lot of time and money to determine the severity of the damage to the soil and water.

MOre

it's the same process as that takes place under federal regs when a toxin in unknown quantities is released in a populated area.

Of course it was a tree. Could it have been worse? Of course. But it takes a sick frick to destroy a historical landmark and potentially contaminate the area over a football game.
