It has been stated before but why would Texas leak this? It makes them look horrible that even $100 million couldn't bring a coach in. How much more could they offer to get a legit coach? They settled for their like 5th choice. The situation is so bad it would take more than 1/10 of a billion dollars to have a respected coach go in as fix it. That's embarrassing.

Because they want you to know that they can spend $100 Million on a coach if they wanted to and that you can't. That's why. Crazy? Stupid? Totally, but that is the mentality of the Longhorn people.

Why did Texas's biggest booster call Charlie Strong a position coach?

For some of them being in control of the process is worth more than anything. This is their way of saying that not getting Saban wasn't their fault.
