Just to give you an idea of how down the SEC was during this period, the Florida Gators won the SEC Championship five times in the 1990s yet they were consistently the second or third best team in the state of Florida.

So...what you are saying is: the OBC took a terrifically horrendous program and turned it into a power against a stronger SEC.
