Believe Wisconsin is scheduling these games in Texas for recruiting purposes.

They are wasting their time.

There isn't a single elite recruit in Texas that is going to be willing to play at Wisconsin and freeze their azz off!

It is smart to pull for a team you have to play later in the season. it will benefit your school if you beat said team.

First of all, this is not the primary motivation for Wisconsin. If anything, it is secondary.

The primary motivation is to improve their OOC schedule in order to give them a good chance of making the new playoff should they win the Big Ten.

Wisconsin typically plays 4 OOC scrubs. They have not played an OOC game this big in years. The recent home and home with Arizona State was their first step. LSU is their second step.

Dude Wisconsin gets a lot of recruits from Florida. Take a look at their roster.

And if they can pull kids from Florida they can pull kids from Texas.
