AA7, I have stayed there. Its a fantastic resort. It is on the other end of the beach from where I am right now. Im on the south west end at the Grand Bavaro. The Excellence is on the north west end.

We stayed there for 10 days in 2010. Had a awesome time. The pool there is unreal. Its a very long resort and the pool runs the length of the place. We had a "Swim up" room so we could walk out our back door and be right at the pool

The food there is actually a little better than this place. The beach is great there too. My only complaint about it was, the ocean is very rough there. That end of the beach gets the roughest surf. It is also a little bit harder there to get drinks. The bar out at the pool is in the middle so if you are not there, you walk to get one. They do have beach service which is where we stayed most of the time.

I have been here a bunch of times. I have been all over the Caribbean. Dominican Republic has the absolute best people anywhere. The service is 5* every where I have been.
