You need to allow yourself 4 hrs between HJA (Atlanta Airport) and downtown Columbia, depending upon traffic, either way. It'll be I-20 all the way both times, coming and going, but it just depends on time of day, accidents, etc. About 3 hrs between Columbia and Athens, again, depending upon traffic.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about sight-seeing between Columbia and Athens .... you're going to want to sleep late after Thursday night, then get up and get something to eat, then get on your way to Athens ahead of the 5:00 traffic. Cross the river and hit Augusta shortly after 6:00 and maybe swing by Augusta National, then get on down to Athens and party the night before the game.
