I'm glad the Cats upgraded, women's soccer was probably the driving force, correct?

Nope, Mitch actually attends games and I think he has really wanted the Men to get better. With historic rivalry in Indiana and growing rivalry in Louisville just think he want's the men to make the jump to the next level. he has already fired previous coach for not getting it done.

UK has so many close D1 schools in close driving range.

That makes a big difference - having competitive programs close by. We (SCAR) of course play Furman yearly and UNC Charlotte, and many of the ACC programs including Clemson, but we have that other affiliation with a conference that I am not too fond of us being involved with, but it makes for some pretty good soccer overall. I guess they are calling it the American Conference now or something. Or maybe it's still Conf USA for soccer, I can't keep up with it.

The SEC is in dire need of sponsoring men's soccer.
