Using the Hoover Met would be a disaster and would never bring an MLS team.

Someone would need to pay BIG money to get MLS to bham. OTher regional cities would get first crack(Nashville/Charlotte/Raliegh-Durham/NOLA). Although it would be helpful to the MLS if they went to a city/state with 0 pro teams.

Can they fit a soccer field in the Marlins' stadium? that should be a no-brainer if yes.

I dont follow MLS, but I do go to a few games. I rememebr a couple years ago i was invited to go to a Dynamo game. New stadium so I was pretty excited about checking that out. I get there and realize that it is the playoffs. haha. Fun time but I wish the scored more and I wish the clock ran down, not up. Stoppage time is stupid.

They could remodel the Met specifically for soccer if need be. Got a feeling the SEC baseball tourney will be looking for other venues in the future. Wanna revitalise Bham? Remodel Legio Field.

Metro Bham has about the same population as New Orleans. No reason the area couldn't support a MLS team.
