and because of his last 3 years. many people on this board are also too young to even remember Fulmer in the 90s and early 2000s. They just like to look at raw numbers and base their analysis on that. Honestly, at the end of the day, they're both very similar, with the only noticeable difference being a national title. Fulmer ran one of the best programs in the country for around 10 years. People trying to downplay that or an undefeated national title are either intentionally biased, ignorant, or both.

Fulmer inherited a well functioning machine and just upped the quality of player in it with elite recruiting. Once he got his natty he put it on cruise control and the program deteriorated because of it.

Won the East and 10 games the year before he was fired so its not the end of his career that did it in for him. He won 5, 9, 10, and 5 games his last 4 years.

I don't see much difference between the two coaches.
