After Lemay got in trouble and didn't play his Senior year, the handwriting was on the wall

What handwriting? It's only easy to say that now because we know he's a bust. He didn't lose all his natural athletic ability and talent by sitting out a year. Sure he was probably rusty, but he didn't forget how to throw a ball or play the position by not playing in 11 games as an 18 year old.

He never played for us because a)we've had much, much better talent ahead of him at QB and b)he, like I said along with thousands of others, simply didn't pan out. It's recruiting, it happens.

Agree with you on most of this. I still would have offered him if he proved he still had the talent, and he must have to the coaches. That being said he was arguably the worst quarterback I've ever seen throwing the ball in warm ups. His sophomore year a walk on beat him for the back up position, and I doubt he could have started for most intramural teams. Maybe something will click at Jacksonville St. but it didn't under one of the best QB developers in the game.
