Just to add to this. This statement really is true. Our staff was able to make do with a smaller, maybe quicker OL in the BIG 12. Thats philosophy has obviously changed. With Henson as the new OC and since the move you can see the shift in recruiting/recruiting priority to match the athleticism and size in the SEC on the OL.

Biggest difference I noticed right away in our first year in the conference was the play of the lines on both sides of the ball.

This is what separates the SEC from everyone else, more so on the Dline.

Every other conference has as good/better QBs, RBs, WRs, DBs, and LBs. The SEC is above the rest on the Dline while equals at worst on the Olines.
