MLB.com scouting report on Greiner:

Rank: 96
South Carolina, Junior
Height: 6'5", Weight: 210
Position: C
DOB: 10/11/1992
Bats: R, Throws: R
Twitter: @ggreiner21
Prev. drafted: Never
Scouting Grades: Hit: 40 | Power: 45 | Run: 30 | Arm: 55 | Field: 50 | Overall: 45

Greiner stands 6-foot-5, which would match the tallest height ever for a regular catcher in the Major Leagues. Scouts often are wary of big backstops because they have longer releases and tend not to move well behind the plate, but those aren't concerns with Greiner. His defense actually rates better than his offense.

Greiner has solid arm strength and a penchant for making accurate throws. He has good agility for his size and receives the ball well. Add in quality leadership skills, and it's easy to understand why USA Baseball selected him for its collegiate national team each of the past two summers (though he missed out in 2012 because of a knee injury).

Though his size and strength give him plenty of raw power, it's unclear how much Greiner will hit at the upper levels of pro ball. His right-handed swing can get long, and he has yet to fully tap into his pop in game situations. His bat ultimately will determine if he's an everyday player or a backup in the big leagues.

MLB.com scouting report on Jordan Montgomery:

Rank: 160
South Carolina, Junior
Height: 6'4", Weight: 225
Position: LHP
DOB: 12/27/1992
Bats: L, Throws: L
Twitter: @Gumbynation34
Prev. drafted: Never
Scouting Grades: Fastball: 45 | Curveball: 45 | Cutter: 50 | Changeup: 55 | Control: 50 | Overall: 45

Similar to former South Carolina ace Michael Roth, Montgomery pitches above his stuff and has advanced feel for his craft. He cracked the Gamecocks' rotation as a freshman and starred at the College World Series, and he has succeeded Roth as the team's top starter the past two seasons.

Montgomery throws harder than Roth, but he doesn't light up any radar guns at 87-91 mph. His fastball is effective nonetheless because it has run and sink and he's able to spot it where he wants. It sets up his best pitch, his changeup, and he also mixes in cutters and curveballs.

Montgomery is a quality athlete for his size and has a fluid delivery, which allows him to fill the strike zone with ease. His ceiling is limited to a No. 4 or 5 starter, but he's a good bet to reach it.

MLB.com scouting report on Joey Pankake:

Rank: 124
South Carolina, Junior
Height: 6'1", Weight: 200
Position: 3B
DOB: 11/23/1992
Bats: R, Throws: R
Twitter: @jpankake
Prev. drafted: 2011, 42nd (1284) - TEX
Scouting Grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 50 | Run: 45 | Arm: 60 | Field: 45 | Overall: 45

A Rangers 42nd-round pick out of a South Carolina high school in 2011 as a pitcher, Pankake touched 94 mph in short stints on the mound. He became a full-time position player once he arrived in college, however, and has moved to third base after spending his first two years at shortstop.

Pankake is having his best season at the plate, making more contact than he has in the past. Though he's not driving the ball as consistently as he did as a sophomore, he has solid raw power. He has enough bat speed and strength to hit for decent average and pop at the big league level.

Pankake's arm strength fits well at third base, though some scouts aren't sold that his hands are good enough to keep him in the infield. He'll begin his pro career at the hot corner but would profile better offensively at second base if he could handle that position. It's also possible that he could wind up on an outfield corner.

MLB.com scouting report on Alex Destino:

Rank: 163
North Buncombe HS (N.C.), Senior
Height: 6'2", Weight: 215
Position: LHP
DOB: 10/24/1995
Bats: L, Throws: L
Twitter: @Destino_15
Commitment: South Carolina
Scouting Grades: Fastball: 50 | Curveball: 40 | Slider: 45 | Changeup: 45 | Control: 50 | Overall: 45

Destino served as a two-way player on the U.S. national team that won a gold medal at the 18-and-under World Cup in Taiwan last summer. He had a fine senior season with the bat, swatting 15 homers, but he leveled off as a pitcher, where he shows more potential as a pro.

Though Destino's stuff wasn't as sharp as it had been in 2013, he still has upside as a left-hander with the ability to throw three potential solid offerings for strikes. He spent the spring pitching with an 86-92 mph fastball with some armside run and sink, and there should be more velocity forthcoming from his strong 6-foot-2 frame.

Destino's sinking changeup is his best secondary pitch, though he tips it off by lowering his arm slot. He uses both a curveball and slider, with scouts believing he'd be best served by focusing on the latter or developing a cutter. Once projected as a possible third-round pick, he now may not get picked early enough to divert him from attending South Carolina.

Here are some updates from this morning:

- South Carolina is going to fight to try to keep Kyle Martin and Joel Seddon

- Tanner English has fielded several phone calls tonight as well and been told he'll be paid $100,000 as well. He should go pretty early on Saturday. Look for the Diamondbacks to call his name

- USC has been informed by Madison Stokes' advisor that he will be at school

- I don't really have any new news on Junior Harding. At the end of the day, I'd be surprised if he's in a South Carolina uniform next year.

All per JW on 247.

Have confirmed via text with either the players or family members of players that Joel Seddon, Tanner English, Joey Pankake, Jordan Montgomery, and Grayson Greiner all plan to sign with their respective clubs. I'm working on finding out some information on Kyle Martin now.

Per John Whittle.

Thanks for the updates: that's great news about Stokes, with Murray and Destino already declaring that they're coming to school. They all reportedly placed signing money that would've been in the top 10 rounds area that would make them choose the pros over USC.

With, Harding, I wonder what his plans are: they've now gone past the 21st rounds, and his name hasn't been called yet. The signing $$ now is around $100,000, and dropping fast. If Harding is still interested in taking the draft over college, IMO he never really wanted to go to college to begin with.

In any case, he's a pitcher and it looks like we're going to be solid in the pitching area, even without Montgomery and Seddon...

Would love to get Harding to come to school, Whittle said on Friday I believe that he told USC that he was coming to school. But JW said he would be very surprised if that came to fruition.

Draft's over Whittle's still going to be extremely surprised if Harding's in a Carolina uniform next year. My guess is it has to be his grades and he can't get into USC academically.
