Arkansas needs to figure out what they want to be. Do they want to be the grind it out, pound the rock team that BB loves or do they want to be the offensive team that they've been in the past. The key for Arky is recruiting. They have the means to get there but they lack a pool of talented players in their state. They will have to significantly increase the pipeline out of state which I've already seen BB do. He just needs to do it bigger and better. I can see them competing again in the near future.

Bert won't have a problem with the instate talent pool for his offense, the positions the state constantly produces at a high level is OLine, Dline, RB, and TE.

The problem for Arkansas in the past has been attracting good LBs with size, we have done well with the undersized speedy LBs and speedy hard hitting safeties, the fad of teams moving to the spread will ease the need of recruiting the big LBs and Big safeties meaning our undersized speedy guys will be more than adequate against those offenses.

If teams continue to go towards the spread, the defenses will be adjusted to stop the spread, see:Big12. Berts power offense would actually have an advantage over these smaller faster defenses.

This is definitely a good point. I'm drawn back to that second quarter drive against Auburn that ate up like 9 minutes. That's the type of drive I expect to see against these spread teams more often as we get more of his guys in the system. Run the clock, put points on the board and keep those offenses from being able to get in to a rhythm.
